My friend Joe, over at SmokinJoeNews had a rant that I think sums up a lot of my current feelings about the Red Sox. Granted this post is from a few weeks ago, but everyone in Massachusetts has this in the back of their mind going into the All-Star Break:
Anyway, the basic idea of this thread was to not count the Yanks out, especially vs. the Red Sox. If there’s anything they’ve done well historically, is win. 26 in like, 80 years (they did’t start winning until after they got Ruth), that’s an astonishing accomplishment. And that’s with them sucking pure asshole during the 80’s. Well, I guess that’s my little warning you Sox fans should heed (as I always do), you can be confident, but dont forget to be realistic.
